Meet the team at Winton

Our team have 40 year’s experience between them! We currently have 19 team members who all bring something different to the table in terms of experience and qualifications. We couldn’t be prouder of them!

Nursery Manager, Samantha Gemmell Andrew

I am the Nursery Manager and recently began my role at Winton. I am passionate about making a positive difference to every child in my care and committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive nursery environment where all children are supported to reach their full potential.

I have six years of management experience within Salford Family Nurseries, where I developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of high-quality early years practice. I am dedicated to supporting staff, building positive relationships with families, and ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and confident to learn.

Deputy Manager, Rachael Nunes

My name is Rachael and I have been working in early years education for over 22 years,  bringing a wealth of experience to my role. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Childhood Studies and I am passionate about supporting children to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. I value building positive relationships with children and families and believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life.

 

Team Leader, Suzanne Wainwright

Suzanne has over 20 years of experience in early years education and I am passionate about creating a safe, exciting environment for all children. I enjoy celebrating every child’s achievement no matter how big or small, and encourage all children to feel proud of themselves and their successes.

Team Leader, Samantha Bentson

Sami has over 25 years of experience in childcare and has worked across a wide range of settings, supporting children aged 0–11. As the Nursery SENCo, she has extensive knowledge and understanding of special educational needs and is passionate about ensuring all children feel supported and included. Sami has a strong interest in outdoor learning and enjoys providing challenge and opportunities for all children to reach their full potential.

I am a qualified level 4 practitioner who has worked at Winton nursery for 16 years.
