The nursery celebrates its 60th birthday this year! Our beliefs haven’t changed throughout this massive milestone and that’s to ensure children have the best start to life!
Our team are qualified, dedicated and committed to support families who have concerns around their child’s development and will look to us as their first choice of nursery for their child due to our reputation in the community.
We are proud of the achievements all our children make whilst attending nursery with us. We have the privilege of watching them grow and develop from their first settling in period where we gather information from their parents which gives us our starting points. Staff develop/adjust and tailor learning opportunities for the children individual learning needs to supporting them to reach their full potential.
Where we are
Little Hulton is based in the west of the city serving our children and families in Little Hulton, Walkden and Worsley primarily, we also border Wigan and Bolton.
We are in the centre of upcoming developments in the area – new homes being built. Close to local amenities, Health Centre, Little Hulton Library, local shopping centres.
About our nursery
We have a large outdoor environment which the children love to explore and gives them opportunity to develop their gross motor skills. Staff are able to show and teach our children how to grow and care for plants in our remembrance garden.
We have a spacious Baby room which gives our youngest children the space to be able to explore, develop their gross motor skills, and supports their inquisitive nature.
Our two to three year old rooms inter link and this gives opportunity for the children to work together at points during the day. This year we have continued to create and develop a nurture space to really stretch our children to reach their potential. We also are home to a large outdoor play space which is accessed in all weathers.

Opening hours
We are open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We only close for all bank holidays and for one week between Christmas and New Year.

What’s for lunch?
It goes without saying that we take pride in the food we cook and serve to our children. All our nurseries maintain five star hygiene ratings and are accredited We are well fed, meaning all our menus meet the national guidelines for children’s nutrition.
Our menus often include many childhood favourites keeping in mind any dietary, medical or cultural needs.
If you like the look of one of our dishes and would like to try at home, we can share our recipe with you, just let your nursery manager know.
