Meet the team at Little Hulton

Little Hulton Nursery has been part of the community for over 60 years, welcoming generations of families through our doors. Many parents return with their own children, sharing the same nursery experiences they once enjoyed themselves.  

Our team is a real mix of fresh energy and long‑standing experience, with staff just starting their journey alongside others who have been at Little Hulton for over 25 years, and more than 40 years’ experience across Salford nurseries. It’s this sense of continuity, care, and community that makes our nursery feel like home.

Nursery Manager, Anneka Williamson

I am the Nursery Manager at Little Hulton Nursery and have 20 years’ experience in childcare. My journey here began as a student, and over the years I’ve been proud to work in every role within the nursery — from Early Years Educator, Senior Nursery Worker, Team Leader, and Deputy, to my current role as Nursery Manager.

Having grown and developed within the nursery, I have a deep understanding of our children, families, and team, and a real passion for creating a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels valued. I’m proud to lead a dedicated team and to continue building on the strong relationships and care that Little Hulton Nursery is known for.

Deputy Nursery Manager, Sue Tongue

I am the Deputy Nursery Manager at Little Hulton Nursery and have over 40 years’ experience working within Salford nurseries. I truly love being part of the team and sharing my knowledge and passion for early years with both children and colleagues.

I have a strong interest in history and literature, which often inspires the fun and engaging activities I do with the children. I especially enjoy planning experiences that support their listening, attention, and communication skills, helping them to grow in confidence as they learn and explore. Being part of a nursery that values relationships, creativity, and child‑led learning is something I’m very proud of.

Team Leader, Tracy Gerrard

I am a Team Leader at Little Hulton Nursery and have worked here for over 25 years, with 35 years’ experience in childcare. I’m also a proud mum of two girls and love spending time outdoors walking my dog.

I work in the baby room, which I really enjoy, especially watching the children grow, develop, and show their own little personalities. Being part of their early journey and helping them feel safe, loved, and confident is something I find incredibly rewarding.

Team Leader, Joanne Mowat

I am a Team Leader at Little Hulton Nursery and have worked within Salford Family Nurseries for 20 years. During this time, I have also taken on the role of Nursery SENCO, supporting children with a wide range of individual needs.

I love working closely with children and their families and being part of their nursery journey, watching children learn and develop through fun, laughter, and play. I truly believe that a messy child is a happy child, and I’m passionate about supporting children to build confidence, explore freely, and reach their full potential.

Team Leader, Hannah Duncan

I am a Team Leader at Little Hulton Nursery and have almost 11 years’ experience working in nurseries, having been part of the Little Hulton team since 2017. I absolutely love working with little ones and find so much joy in watching them grow and develop.

I am Level 5 qualified and have enjoyed working with children of all ages and building strong relationships with their families. I especially love sharing stories with the children — my favourites to read are The Colour Monster and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. Being part of each child’s journey is what makes my role so rewarding.
