A parent's letter to our nurseries staff at Barton Moss

"It is with great pleasure, joy and happiness that I am sending this email. Looking back at what the situation was, when I first stepped into your nursery and what the situation is now, will help you understand why I use the heading above.

When I remember the situation I was in last summer, with the challenges I faced with the nature of Timi’s needs and his frustration with trying so hard to pass his message across. As well as the sleepless nights screaming and shouting with the neighbours calling the police because of the noise, all I can say is THANK YOU.

You may be wondering what the above has to do with the nursery. Well the answer is EVERYTHING!

Timi loves the comfort of his home and doesn’t trust any other people or place but since his admission into Barton Moss Nursery, the care he was given and how he has been supported changes it all. The warm reception from the team, the genuineness of wanting to ensure Timi is settled and happy in the nursery, the assurance and encouragement given to me as a mother from you both and your staff is beyond my wildest imagination.

I am here able to email you beaming with joy and happiness on my face as I see how happy my son feels every morning when going to nursery. This in turn helps to improve my own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I am now having my own ‘ME’ time with the ability to be able to do the job I love so much, which I have devoted 13 years of my life doing.

I owe it all to the management and staff of Barton Moss Nursery. You all are so amazing, and I will forever be grateful to you both and your team for going the extra mile to ensure Timi is happy, settled and safe in nursery. I was a worried mother last summer when Timi was not coping at the first two nurseries he went to. I was having to take unpaid leave from work to look after him and his siblings. I am very happy and grateful for all the input you and then team do to look after Timi. I am hopeful and I pray that soon he will start to communicate.

Please let the staff know how happy I am for all the care and support given to Timi. He is a happy boy coming to your nursery and has been chatting, engaging and even singing although in baby language. It’s great to see him achieving that and I know it’s one step at a time.

Once again thank you very much, your effort and support is highly appreciated!"
